Five quick questions. We'll come back with a tailored proposal covering venue hire, catering, bar, and everything your event needs.
Why The Hackney
We are more than a venue. We are an events team, a catering team, and a fully equipped space - all under one roof. Need us to run everything from planning to breakdown? We do that. Prefer dry hire so you can bring your own suppliers and run the day yourself? We do that too.
Most corporate venues are one or the other. The Hackney gives you the choice - and you can mix and match. Hire the building and our bar team but bring your own caterer. Use our kitchen but manage the event yourself. Whatever your event needs, we fit around it.
The price we quote is the price you pay. Whether you choose full-service or dry hire, there are no surprise invoices, no service charges, and no discovering that "venue hire" did not include the tables.
Beyond The Venue
Some clients bring their own production team. Others want everything handled. Either way, our in-house team can take on as much or as little as you need - and it all runs through one point of contact.
Seasonal florals, table centrepieces, branded signage placement, and full room styling. From intimate boardroom setups to large-scale brand activations - our team designs the look and handles every detail on the day.
Bespoke menus from breakfast through to evening. Canapes, bowl food, three-course dinners, dietary handling for every guest. Our kitchen develops your menu, runs a tasting, and executes on the day.
Projector, screens, professional sound system, and full-venue wifi are built in. Need more? We coordinate with external production teams and can manage technical rehearsals the day before.
Full details on services and pricing are inside our corporate brochure.

A restored 1856 brewery on Hackney Road, East London. The architecture does the heavy lifting - exposed brick, original timber beams, natural skylights, high ceilings.
Four interconnected areas adapt to your event: the main hall for presentations or dining, the bar for arrivals and networking, the winter garden for breakout sessions or drinks, and the covered terrace for fresh air without leaving the venue.

Professional AV is built into the venue - projector, screens, sound system, and wifi throughout. No need to hire external equipment. The space reconfigures from theatre-style presentations to long-table dinners to standing receptions.

Before You Enquire
Up to 60 seated for a formal dinner and up to 100 for a standing reception. The space reconfigures for presentations, workshops, dining, or networking. If you need more than 100 standing, we are probably not the right fit - but we are happy to recommend other venues.
Exclusive hire of the entire building from 9am to 11pm, your dedicated events manager, full staffing, furniture, and our built-in sound and lighting system. Catering and bar are charged separately based on your requirements. See the Everything Included section above for the full breakdown.
Yes. We offer both full-service and dry hire. Most clients use our in-house kitchen and bar team because it keeps everything under one roof, but you are welcome to bring your own caterers, production teams, or suppliers. You can also mix and match - use our bar team but bring your own food, for example. We will work around whatever setup you need.
Most corporate events book four to eight weeks out. Christmas party dates and summer Fridays go earliest - two to three months ahead for the best availability. Board meetings and photo shoots often book the same week. The calendar on our Check Your Date page shows live availability.
There is no on-site parking. Hackney Road has metered parking during the day and free parking from 7pm to 8am. Several NCP car parks are within 10 minutes. The venue is a one-minute walk from Cambridge Heath Overground and five to seven minutes from Bethnal Green Underground (Central line).
Standard hire runs from 9am to 11pm, with guests departing by 11:30pm. The garden terrace closes to guests at 9pm. If you need earlier access for load-in or production setup, that can usually be arranged - just let us know when you enquire and we will share the current rate.
Yes. The exposed brick and industrial interior work as a blank canvas for branding. Clients regularly bring pull-up banners, projected logos, neon signs, bespoke signage, and custom table settings. We ask that nothing is fixed permanently to walls or floors - no nails, screws, or adhesive that would damage the brickwork. If you are planning a full wrap or large-scale installation, talk to your events manager early and we will confirm what is possible.
The venue has a built-in sound system covering the whole space, plus mood lighting that can be adjusted for your event. We can support presentations, product demos, and live streaming - just tell us what you need during planning and we will confirm what is included and what needs bringing in. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the building.
Yes, and most corporate clients do. Weekdays are our primary corporate availability. We host everything from Monday morning workshops to Friday evening launches. Weekday rates and availability are on our Check Your Date page.
Yes. Our kitchen handles vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, kosher, and other dietary needs as standard. Just share your guest requirements during planning and we will build it into the menu.
Music is welcome. Our built-in sound system covers the whole venue and connects to Spotify, so you can run your own playlist. DJs are fine. Live performers work too, but we have noise restrictions because of our neighbours - acoustic groups up to a quartet, finishing by 10pm. If music is central to your event, mention it when you enquire and we will talk you through the options.
Honest answer: not fully. The Hackney is a Victorian brewery with a protected facade, which means there is a 15cm step at the entrance and the pavement outside is too narrow for a permanent ramp. The doorway is wide enough for a wheelchair with a little help. We do not currently have accessible toilets on site. If accessibility matters for any of your guests, please tell us up front and we will be straight with you about whether we can make it work.
We are at 503 Hackney Road in East London (E2 9ED). Cambridge Heath Overground is a one-minute walk and Bethnal Green Underground on the Central line is five to seven minutes away. There is no on-site parking, but Hackney Road has metered parking during the day and free parking from 7pm. For larger events, we can share a travel info sheet to send to your guests.
Yes. We run venue tours every day of the week and will walk you through every space and talk through how your event could work. Book a visit through our Check Your Date page or call us directly.
Check availability on our live calendar, book a venue tour, or send us an enquiry. One conversation to get started.
