Our own house espresso, pastries and light bites in a restored 1856 brewery on Hackney Road. Walk in, bring the dog or settle in with your laptop.
The cafe is closed while we finish the new menu. Weddings and events carry on as normal.
The Space
Room to Stay a While
Come for a coffee and stay for the morning. The Hackney is a converted 1856 brewery with high ceilings, exposed brick, a winter garden under a skylight and a covered terrace.
Bring a laptop: there's free wifi and plug sockets along the long tables in the winter garden. Bring the dog: they're welcome inside and on the terrace. There's no booking. Just walk in.
Some of you will remember us as the Hackney Coffee Company. We started as a speciality coffee house. The space has grown since then, and good coffee is still at the heart of what we do.

Saturdays
Weekend Mornings
Coffee, pastries and light bites from 9am. Some Saturdays the building is booked for a private event, so check Google Maps before you come.
Sundays
Coffee And A Glass Of Something
Open 9am to 4pm. Coffee, natural wine by the glass and the terrace when the sun is out. Bring the dog. Bring the paper.

Yes. We have free wifi, plug sockets, and plenty of space during the day. Lots of freelancers and remote workers use us as a regular spot.
