Our chefs cook everything in house, from canapes through to a full seated dinner. Once you have booked, you build your menu with our events team in your planning form, and you come to one of our tasting evenings to try the dishes and tell us what you think before anything is final.

Every Hackney wedding is venue hire plus a minimum spend on food, drinks and extras, and both depend on the season and the day of the week. Our published pricing shows what each season starts at, and the pricing guide we send when you enquire sets out every date. Staffing and service are built in, with no added service charge.

We can pencil your date in for 14 days while you visit and decide. When you go ahead we send your wedding terms, and your deposit confirms the booking. After that comes our payment plan: half your wedding total is due four months before the day and the final balance three weeks before. The prices we send at booking are fixed, except in exceptional inflation, and our wedding terms set out the full schedule.

Our own bar team serves everything, from the first glass on arrival to the last drink of the night. You plan your drinks with our events team alongside your menu, and you can taste the wines at your tasting evening. Once you have booked, our events team sends you the drinks packages and wine list along with your planning form.

Yes. The room already gives you exposed brick, greenery overhead and furniture and decor included, so you only add what makes it yours. Bring your own flowers and decorations, ideally plastic-free or recyclable. We are a confetti-free venue, and candles are welcome where we have approved them. Decorations can usually be dropped off the day before.

Our live calendar on the website shows every booked date for 2026, 2027 and 2028, so you can see straight away whether yours is free. If it is, we can pencil it in for you for 14 days, which gives you time to visit, talk it through with us and decide. When you are ready to go ahead we send your wedding terms, and once your deposit is paid the date is officially yours and shows as booked on the calendar. If you decide not to, we release it, or offer it to the next couple waiting for it.

Your events team agrees every delivery and collection time with you in your planning form, so each supplier knows exactly when to arrive. On the day, suppliers can usually set up from three hours before your start time, and earlier access is available for a fee. Decorations can usually be dropped off the day before. Everything brought in leaves the same night.

Food, drink and essential tableware are ours, which keeps the day to one team. For everything else, from flowers and photography to music, cake, hair and make-up, bring whoever you love, or use our in-house flowers, stationery and tableware. Please check with us before you book a supplier, and ask for our list of suppliers who already know the room.

The whole building, exclusively yours, with all furniture and venue decor, essential tableware, a built-in sound system, DJ equipment and dancefloor lighting. A dedicated on-the-day coordinator and our events team look after you, and all staffing and service are built into the price. Food and drink are planned on top against your minimum spend.

Please do. Tours are private, take around 30 minutes and run Monday to Friday, with weekends by arrangement. You can book one online, and we will walk you through the Winter Garden, The Lounge, The Bar Area and The Covered Terrace and answer everything on your mind.

Once your deposit is paid, you get your planning form, where every choice for your day lives, and our events team works through it with you on planning calls. You come to a tasting evening, and on the day a dedicated coordinator runs everything from your form, with a duty manager on hand so anything not right is fixed there and then.

All of them. Our built-in sound system covers the whole venue and plays your own playlist, and the DJ equipment and dancefloor lighting are already here, so there is nothing to hire in. Live music is welcome too, and we will talk you through what works in the room. All music ends at 11pm. See our music guidelines

Weddings start at 3pm as standard, and earlier starts are available from 9am for an hourly supplement, agreed at planning. Music stops at 11pm and guests leave by 11.30pm. We do not hold a late licence, so the end time is fixed.

The Winter Garden, directly under the skylight, where the afternoon light is soft and the greenery hangs overhead. For something more East London, step out to the front door on Hackney Road, and The Covered Terrace suits relaxed portraits. If your photographer wants to see the room first, ask your events team.

Yes. All our food is prepared in house and every dietary requirement is catered for, from vegan and gluten-free to halal. Tell us about each guest's needs in your planning form and our chefs build them into your menu, dish by dish.

Tastings are for couples who have booked. Once your deposit is paid, we share the dates of our tasting evenings, including dedicated vegan evenings, and we send you a link to book and pay for your places, priced per guest. It is your chance to taste the food and tell us what to change before the day.

Yes, a celebratory ceremony with all your guests, in your own words. We are not licensed for the legal part, so couples complete it at a register office beforehand. Hackney Town Hall is about eight minutes away by taxi. Humanist celebrations, blessings, symbolic services and personal vows all work here, and the room is reset for your reception afterwards.

Your table plan goes into your planning form and our team sets the room to it on the day. The room seats up to 60 for dinner, and your events team helps you find the layout that suits your numbers and your ceremony, if you are holding one here first.

Check your date on our live calendar and we can pencil it in for 14 days, which gives you time to come for a tour, talk it through with us and decide. When you are happy to go ahead we send your wedding terms, and once your deposit has been received the booking is confirmed and the date shows as booked on our calendar.

We are at 503 Hackney Road, E2 9ED. Cambridge Heath Overground is two minutes on foot and Bethnal Green on the Central line about nine. There is no on-site parking, but parking on Hackney Road is free from 7pm until 8am, with metered bays on nearby roads before then.

Yes. Cake is one of the suppliers you are free to choose, so bring one from any baker you love. Your events team agrees a delivery time with them through your planning form.

Up to 60 seated for dinner and up to 100 for a standing reception. We are an intimate venue by design. If you are planning more guests for the evening than for dinner, tell us your numbers when you check your date and we will be straight with you about what works.

Children are very welcome at The Hackney, and we have highchairs ready for the youngest guests. Let us know about the little ones in your planning form so we can plan their food and seating with you. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too, and plenty of couples bring theirs along as ring-bearers. Let us know in your planning form so the team knows to expect them on the day.

No. All food and drink are served in house by our own chefs and bar team, which is what lets us run the day as one team with one timeline. You will not need to find a caterer or hire in a bar.

Honestly, not fully. The building is a Victorian brewery with a protected facade, so there is a 15cm step at the entrance, and the doorway is wide enough for a wheelchair or buggy with a little help. We do not currently have accessible toilets. Tell us about any guest's needs early and we will be straight with you.
